Should you disagree with any aspect of our Terms of Service, either in whole or in part, we kindly request that you cease using the website and the services offered by Spic and Clean without delay.

How to Reach Us

For any inquiries or issues related to your cleaning service, the most effective method to reach us is through email at office@spicandclean.com. If your message is time-sensitive, include the word urgent in the subject line to ensure it receives prompt attention. Please note that we will respond to your email typically within 24 hours of receipt. We appreciate your understanding and patience in this matter.

The Cleaning Setting

The most effective cleaning environment is one where the house is empty. However, recognizing that this may not always be feasible, it is important to minimize distractions to allow your cleaner to perform their tasks without interruption. Whenever possible, maim to arrange cleaning appointments on days when there are fewer occupants in the home. Furthermore, if children are present during the cleaner’s visit, it is advisable to supervise them and ensure that pets are safely secured. This is crucial as the cleaning equipment and products used may pose safety risks to both children and animals.

Getting Your Home Ready

We kindly request that you prepare your home for our cleaning service by tidying up in advance. While we do not expect you to clean your home before our arrival, we ask that you remove as many items as possible from the floors and surfaces. This includes clearing away clothing, toys, and small objects such as pens, coins, and important documents. By organizing your space beforehand, you enable your maid to concentrate on delivering a higher level of detail and quality in their work. Please ensure that the temperature in your home is set between 68- and 72- Degrees Fahrenheit, particularly during the warmer months. It is important to note that your cleaners may decline to work in excessively hot environments, as this can pose safety concerns. It is essential to note that a supplementary charge of $40 per hour may be incurred if your home is not adequately prepared for the cleaning service. Additionally, if the indoor temperature of your home is considered excessively high, which hinders the cleaner’s ability to carry out their tasks, we reserve the right to implement a $50 fee to address the inconvenience caused to our cleaners.

Accidents and Damage

Accidents are unforeseen; therefore, we kindly ask that you secure any valuable items, including antiques, collectibles, crystals, and family heirlooms. We cannot accept responsibility for any belongings that are left exposed and subsequently damaged. In addition, we will not be liable for any damages resulting from the improper installation of light fixtures, ceiling fans, artwork, mirrors, or shelving that is inadequately anchored to the wall. This also includes older or bent stove components, worn doorknobs, stained carpeting, and walls with faded or chipped paint. Additionally, any hanging mechanisms from curtains or blinds, improperly secured shower soap trays or dispensers, and other deteriorating items are also excluded from our liability. To ensure that your cleaner is aware of any specific areas in your home that may need extra attention, please inform Spic and Clean about these details. This will help guarantee that those areas are treated with the utmost care to avoid any potential damage.

Small Requests

It is essential to include all minor requests and additional services in your appointment to guarantee that we can deliver the desired service effectively. Furthermore, this allows us to allocate sufficient time and gather the necessary materials to ensure the successful completion of our work.

Protecting Workers Safety

Due to our insurance policy and to prioritize safety, we refrain from using ladders or relocating heavy items and furniture. We will not stand on furniture or ladders to access hard-to-reach areas within your residence. We are committed to dusting elevated msurfaces whenever it is safe and feasible to do so. In compliance with OSHA regulations, we are unable to manage any waste from animals or humans, which encompasses vomit, blood, and bodily waste. Furthermore, to prevent sanitary and hygiene-related cross-contamination, we cannot perform cleaning services in homes that have active infestations, such as fleas, cockroaches, or bedbugs, until these issues have been resolved. In addition, we will not remove excess mold and mildew outside of the shower.

Scheduling Other Service Providers

For reasons related to safety and security, we kindly ask that you refrain from arranging for other home service providers to be present during our scheduled cleaning of your residence, especially if you are not available. If another service provider is on-site, we cannot assume responsibility for any necessary re-cleaning of your home. Additionally, if customer activities or the actions of other service providers lead to a request for recleaning of areas we have already serviced, please be aware that this will incur an extra charge.

Parking

It is essential to provide Spic and Clean with clear parking instructions and provide any parking passes. In the absence of such instructions, we will operate under the assumption that parking facilities are accessible. Please be aware that a parking fee will be incurred if there are insufficient spaces for a minimum of two vehicles. Furthermore, if adequate parking instructions are not provided and our vehicle is subsequently towed, the customer will be responsible for covering the towing expenses.

Children

To ensure the safety of small children and to mitigate the risks associated with cleaning products and supplies, we strongly recommend that children not be left unsupervised during our cleaning services. Children must always be monitored. Spic and Clean mmaintains the authority to cancel cleaning appointments if there are any instances of children being left unattended by an adult.

Pets

Please secure your pet(s) before your cleaner arrives at your home. If your pet(s) are aggressive, we ask that you put them in a room your cleaner will not have access to or leave them outside before your cleaner arrives at your home. We reserve the right to leave the premises if your pet exhibits aggressive behavior. In addition, you will be charged the full price of your cleaning service if your cleaner has left your home due to pet(s) exhibiting aggressive behavior. We will not be held responsible for the behavior of any pet(s) while we perform your cleaning service.

Security

Spic and Clean prioritizes the security of your residence and collaborates closely with each homeowner to create a tailored routine for both entry and exit. Our current procedures encompass a variety of options, including but not limited to letting us in on the day of service if you will be home when we arrive, supplying an additional key for our use, providing us with a lockbox, keypad, or garage code for secure entry, and nleaving us a key under a mat or pot and give instructions on where to leave it.

Customer Obligations

Access to your electricity and water supply is essential for us to deliver our services effectively. Should you notice any improperly installed windows, doors, shelving, cabinets, or mirrors that could potentially fall upon contact, please notify Spic and Clean without delay. Additionally, if you anticipate having guests or unfamiliar individuals in your home, it is important to inform them of our scheduled arrival, as wemay require access to their areas.

Security Alarms

It is essential to ensure that your security system is either turned off or disarmed on the day of your scheduled cleaning service. Alternatively, if you prefer to keep the system active, please provide us with clear instructions on how to arm or disarm the alarm. We cannot accept responsibility for any false alarms that may occur nor for any associated costs incurred from local law enforcement or security services due to an activated alarm. Furthermore, by engaging our services, you agree to indemnify and release Spic and Clean from any liability arising from issues related to the alarm system, including any failures or improper arming of the system

Lockouts and Keys

Our designated cleaning hours are from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. To facilitate our service, we will require specific instructions for accessing your residence. Please be aware that if we are unable to enter your home or are turned away during these hours, a cancellation fee equivalent to 100% of our standard cleaning rate will be applied. Furthermore, we are committed to adhering to the time frame you have specified for our services. We kindly request that you refrain from sending us away during the scheduled hours ofour work.

Arrival Time

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we may run behind schedule and need to work past our scheduled cleaning time to finish a job. We guarantee your day of service and will not change your service date without prior approval. We will notify you if we are running behind schedule.

Cancellation and Rescheduling

Customers retain the right to cancel or adjust their cleaning service schedule at any time before the appointed time. In instances where the company needs to alter or cancel a scheduled service due to holidays, severe weather, or unforeseen circumstances, we will make every effort to reschedule the cleaning appointment as near as possible to the original date.

Paying for Services

Our commitment is to deliver exceptional service to all customers by implementing best practices and offering a comprehensive payment solution. Payment must be made either before or following the completion of services. We accommodate multiple payment methods, such as checks, cash, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and ACH Bank Transfers. It is important to note that a service fee of $50 will be imposed for any occurrences of insufficient funds. If payment is not received, your credit or debit card will be charged without exception. Furthermore, any outstanding balances will incur an inconvenience fee of $30.

Photography Consent

We prioritize capturing before and after images of our clients’ residences to showcase the high standard of our services. Each month, we randomly choose a client who has completed and signed our photography consent form. If you are selected, we will reach out to you to request permission to photograph the areas we have worked on in your home. To ensure a seamless experience, we coordinate this photography session to coincide with your regular cleaning schedule. The images we capture are solely intended for training and marketing purposes, including their use on our website, in promotional materials, and across our social media platforms. Should you prefer not to have your home photographed for any reason, please let us know during your cleaning appointment or contact us via email.

Should you be unhappy with any areas we have serviced, we are more than willing to return at your earliest convenience to perform a thorough re-clean.

Changes to Terms of Service

At our sole discretion, we reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms of Service at any time. If a revision is needed, we will make reasonable efforts to provide you with at least 30 days’ notice before any new terms take effect. What constitutes a need for change will be determined at our sole discretion. By continuing to access or use our services after the revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms of service.
